A flaxen haired scarecrow stuffed into a suit of faded puritanical black.

Jerusalem is the 4th son (and youngest son) of a family of 6(his siblings are also named by biblical conventions and are as follows; Jordan, Jericho, Judea, Charity and Prudence) . His father is a rather austere vicar, with strong puritanical leanings and a rather anti monarchy bent. Chaffed by the confines of family Jerusalem took to the open road, eventually falling into the life of a highwayman. After a few early scrapes which almost stretched his neck, Jones has come to temper valor with caution. However even with this survival trait his luck has never been good, and when he found his sister (the inaptly named Prudence) had been wronged, he challenged the offending lordling to a duel (or ambushed the good squire’s hunting party with pistols in hand , if one was to prefer the less prosaic version) and (rather unfortunately) won. Consequently he has once again fled his home in disgrace (this time his from his mother country rather than the house of his birth) and has again sought employment of a rather dubious nature. To whit, the wide blue sea, a leaky ship and a band of cutthroat brothers replaces the open road and bedding in haylofts. Little does he know that once again the winds of fate set against him as he floats closer and closer to the domain of the dead lordling’s uncle.
