The Jolly Roger
Jerusalem Jones Session 1 Notes
In this chapter, good reader, our protagonist (that rogue Jerusalem Jones), finds that the life of a pirate has led to the just reward of a Spanish prison cell. Unable to learn his moral lesson, our scallywag, and two other roustabouts of dubious character that he has fallen in with, get involved in a stoush with fellow English prisoners. Despite seeing one privateer off, with more of the devil’s luck than honest skill, our picaroon is koshed across the jaw and sent to the land of slumber. Perhaps fine reader, this may be the start of our protagonist realizing the error of his ways.
Player note I am not very good at writing a clear and concise accounting of gaming sessions, so instead I have chosen to ape the style of a chapter header that you may see in “Picaroon” books from the time (and later). As my character is a wastrel, highwayman, and pirate any self respecting author could not be said to approve of such low moral characters (while vividly and salaciously re-accounting every event)hence these sections will often sound judgmental and slightly catty. I am just trying this as an experiment and seeing if it works.
